Volunteers

For GermanFest 2011 to be a success, we need between 80-100 volunteers to assist with a variety of tasks before and during the event. Duties include things such as set-up, manning the barricades, maintaining the event site, assisting with games, providing information to vendors and festival goers, and much more. Please complete the application online and we will contact you to discuss matching your skills with the tasks at hand.

Thanks to all the volunteers who've already signed up! Boy Scout Troop #63 out of Winchester will be helping with traffic and parking - thanks!

What you should expect as a GermanFest Volunteer

· A day of fun with your fellow volunteer staff and knowing that what you are doing will benefit a great cause and help preserve a portion of the Valley’s history!

· Volunteers will be asked to commit to a shift of at least 5 hours. Volunteers may request to be assigned to work with a friend.

· Those who work a full day will have breaks to enjoy the festival.

· Volunteers who commit to work at least 5 hours on the day of the event will receive a commemorative GermanFest Volunteer T-Shirt.

· Volunteers who commit to work at least 5 hours on the day of the event will receive free parking at the event.

· Volunteer hours are from 9:00 AM-7:00 PM on September 24, 2011.

All volunteers MUST attend the Mandatory Training Meeting on Friday afternoon September 23^rd from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM or Friday night September 23^rd from 7:00 PM-8:00 PM. If you are unable to attend either of the training sessions you will NOT be allowed to volunteer. NO EXCEPTIONS.
